All Wreath Retreats for 2026 are now full
My retreats are different than most. My retreats are intended more for self-exploration and honing in on your creative juices. We come together in my studio to share ideas, techniques, frustrations, successes, and friendship. Sharing a few days with folks who have the same passion has always proved to be a great source of inspiration.
My retreats are limited to 4 people at a time. My studio is able to comfortably allow 4 people to work, and for me to provide one-on-one assistance.
We begin on a Wednesday for a meet and greet. We meet at my studio from 12:00 pm to 4 pm. We get to know each other and talk about what we want to work on; that’s the day I will make a wreath. Thursday is an all-day session at my studio. We start at 9 am and go until 4 pm. Friday is a half-day at my studio. We start at 9 am and work until 1:00. We will head out, have lunch, and do a little sightseeing. Saturday is back at my studio.
What’s included:
Lunch is included on the days we work at my studio, Thursday and Saturday.
All materials are provided
(I recommend bringing tools that you are comfortable with, like wire cutters and scissors)
All product to be provided by Love that Ribbon.
Grapevines are provided.
Containers for arrangements are provided.
We will ship your piece to you. You are responsible for shipping costs.
Housing and transportation is not included. I recommend that you connect with others that are attending on the same dates, and arrange for an AirBNB. The closest airport is Norfolk, so again arranging car rentals with others cuts down on cost.
What’s it all about!!
I like to look at these retreats as a time for YOU to focus on where you’re at, and where you want to go. Let me say this, this is not a retreat where, I am making a wreath, and you are given supplies to make the same wreath. That to me is not tapping into your creative mind. Each retreat I will make a wreath on Wednesday afternoon.. I will answer questions, and you will have front row to watching everything I do. Thursday morning, we will choose your product. You will have access to my inventory, including ribbon. Then the fun begins. Time to start creating your masterpiece. You will be set up with your own wreath stand, product, and station in my studio. We all work together, and of course I am right in the middle of it all.
Friday morning, we return to the studio until 1:00. I like to spend Friday morning on photography and critiques. Everybody’s wreath will be photographed, and we will spend time discussing the dos and don’ts. We take a break and go out for lunch. This is a great catch up time. My favorite place to go is the Coinjock Marina because it’s right on the water.
Saturday, we will work on an arrangement. We will be at my studio all day on Saturday. This is the last day of the retreat. Towards the end of the day, we gather and share thoughts, and I always love to know how this retreat inspired you.
